I wrote this story as a way of looking at something we often overlook: the act of waiting.
For a child, waiting can feel like a disruption—an interruption to desire. But within that interruption, there is a subtle shift: the realization that time is shared, that space is shared, that others exist with the same urgency.
I’m interested in that shift.
The moment when impatience slowly transforms into awareness.
Because perhaps, learning to wait is one of the earliest ways we learn how to be part of the world.
